We want to run Confluence Standalone on our own servers but would like to leave our JIRA instance as OnDemand (hosted by Atlassian).
Currently we have JIRA OnDemand authenticate with Google Apps accounts with the embedded-Crowd in JIRA.
Can we have Confluence Standalone authenticate with the Crowd that is embedded in JIRA OnDemand?
Do the instructions on this page apply if JIRA is OnDemand?
Connecting Confluence to JIRA for User Management
If so, then how do we format the "JIRA Server URL" for JIRA OnDemand, i.e.http://companyname.atlassian.net/something
Even if you can it'd be a different set of users. JIRA OnDemand uses Crowd behind the scenes and not JIRA for user management. You can't connect to that backend Crowd system.
