Confluence Administrator

Joven Quinones April 1, 2013

Hi,

I wish to know if we can assign a user as confluence administrator? What's the default password for system administrator or where can I get since that's the only account that can deactivate users.

Basically you can create a a new admin user in your database in "If no Local User Exist" as we an see here:

But usually we recommend this, when local user admin does not exist.

Hi Joven,

You can actually set who is the Confluence Administrator via the Global Permissions. Also, I don't really think there's any default password for system administrators, but if one of your system administrators lost their password, maybe you could recover it by referring to this article : Restoring Passwords.

Cheers,

Joe
