When I add a JIRA macro that pulls a table of issues with a mix of one or more components, and add the Component as a column, those issues with > 1 component leave the Component column empty.
Seems like a bug.

Hi Guy,
There was a similar bug about sub-components that apparently has been fixed and is described here:https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-33179
I performed some tests and indeed the component column remains blank when issue has more than one component. Given that, I registered this behavior under this bug report: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-38779.
Feel free to vote for it in order to increase it's visibility to Atlassian Devs.
Cheers,
Paulo.
The work around was to switch to the JIRA Filter results gadget
