Confluence generates wrong URL for knowledge base articles

Amina CHAYEB January 24, 2015

Hello,

We are using JIRA 6.3.12, JIRA service desk 2.1 and confluence 5.6.6. We set a customer portal and a knowledge base to provide self-help for customers.

We set the base URL on JIRA and confluence to the access URLs. When we try to access an article of the knowledge base from the customer portal, confluence generates an URL related to localhost, for exemple:

Confluence URL base is www.example.com:8090

The generated URL for knowledge base articles on confluence are

10.x.x.x:8090/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=589833&src=search

10.x.x.x is the IP of the confluence server.

We would like confluence to generate all URLs according to the base URL  so that we can access them for outside the server.

Cheers,

Amina.

Hey Amina,

The URL in Service Desk to Confluence will be defined by the URL set in the Application Link configuration. Probably it was created using the IP address instead the URL set in the base URL of both applications.

Cheers,

Hi everyone,

The problem is solved. We uninstalled confluence and reinstall it using a production version (not test as we did first).
