Hello - we have a new team member that got an email address that was used to a former (as in 3 years ago) team member. When I try to set the user, I could not reuse the same email address. So I have deleted the OLD user and tried to set a new one, using the same email address.
This just recovered the OLD user, and I cannot edit the name.
I am fine with re-managing access rights, but the name is a bit annoying - I like the NEW person to be able to use their name.
Thanks!
If you have Jira and it is linked with Confluence you might have to do this in Jira but there are instructions here to edit user's names in Confluence Cloud.

Hi @Etay Gafni,
I'd like to know if this worked or not. Can you please let me know. Thanks!
