Force registration to use an e-mail address as a username

Hi all,

Is there any way to use user provided e-mail address as a username in the registration process?

No there isn't. This sounds like a new feature request. There is, however, lots of very closly related feature requests:

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

Thank you for your response. Provided issues are somehow related to my problem, however, I think this should be a new feature request.
