Is it possible to disable users Atlassian accounts and force them to use Google SSO to log into Confluence / Jira?

Hi Megan,

If you've connected G Suite to your Atlassian site, users will log in with Google (https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/how-g-suite-users-log-in-744721643.html)

If users enter their email address (that you have claimed via G Suite), they will be redirected to Google to authenticate. Implicitly, this means they are forced to use Google SSO.

Cheers,

Dave

Megan,

I believe you would setup the GSuite accounts following the steps here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/security-with-g-suite-938859740.html and then remove the users Atlassian account licensing.  This would then force them to use Google SSO.  The issue you might run into is if they are already using their Google email and have it associated with their Atlassian account, they may need to change this before you make the change.  You could always submit a ticket to support for more information or conflicts that you might have.
