I am trying to give limited access for internal teammembers who should only have access to just the customer portal. They should not have the ability to create Jira projects, or other products.
Hi @sharmashe welcome to the community. You can create your internal teammembers as Customers in JSM without giving them access to your other Jira products and they will be able to access the Customer Portal, view tickets and access the Knowledge base, but not have access to anything else.
I do that for my internal customers who wouldn't be answerinq questions or working on tickets and/or bugs. It works great!
Hope that helps.
Hi Dan,
Thanks for the prompt response but I have found while testing, if the user with the customer only role is able to navigate through to the Atlassian account they are able to create Jira projects. I also shared the url of the internal task view with the customer user and they were able to create Jira projects and other products. I tried restricting access in the admin pages as well by manually removing access to the other products but as soon as the user logins to the customer portal, access to other products is automatically enabled.
Hope I am explaining myself clearly. Thanks again.
