We are using Confluence 6.13.10 and Jira 8.5.3 Servers using the latest versions. Our customer has a huge number of documents that they are storing in Confluence as attachments. They would like to link certain attachments to specific Jira issues. They do not want to link the whole Confluence Page to a Jira issue, just specific attachments.
I thought this would be a simple task but now don't see how we can do this.
Does anyone have any suggestions, scripts or plugins that might help?

You can copy the links from the attachment page in confluence and paste them into Jira. When a user clicks the link in Jira the attachment will immediately begin to download. The link will looks like this:
https://www.yoursitehere.com/confluence/download/attachments/128430264/FileName.xlsx?api=v2
