Hi All,
We have a confluence page on which we are entering data into an embedded excel file.
What I'm looking for is to send an only one email at EOD(at specific time) with all the new updates done in the page.
I dont want to trigger separate email for each change, instead I want to send all new data at once in one email.
Is it possible on confluence? Or do I need to explore Confluence API and write a separate job for this? Please suggest.
EDIT : I explored confluence API feature but if I loop through the response and expand the body, then confluence is returning data in html format. It will be hard to go through the whole body content and find which data is newly added. :(
Hello Arpan,
Confluence email notification are excellent for getting updates on items you’ve worked on or are following. Email notifications however are limited on their customization and what is included within them. Your are limited to only 30 most popular updates within an email update. I would suggest reviewing the built in options available for you to configure. You can find more at Email Notifications.
Additionally, you have options within the Marketplace that may extend the capabilities for email notifications. You can find more within a Marketplace Search for email.
Do more with Confluence
Take your Confluence notifications to the next level with these email notification apps on the Atlassian Marketplace:
- Notifications - ScriptRunner for Confluence: Manage Confluence notifications more easily, with greater control and customization
- No Email Storm - change the behaviour of the Notify Watchers checkbox in the editor
I hope this helps clarify the capabilities of built in email notifications. Along with providing additional options within the marketplace to extend your email notification capabilities.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers
We are mostly on the user side of Confluence. Getting new plugins is like going through the whole process of Governance approvals etc.. etc..
Anyways Thanks for the response!

Hello again Arpan,
Unfortunately you do have to be an admin to add an add-on to your Instance. You can always send your admins to this post to have them confirm an add-on will be required to facilitate your needs. Along with this, you can also reach out to a marketplace vendor for a demo of the product to build a use case for an add-on you may need.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers
