Hi,
We have Confluence 5.8.5 server version installed and we want to upgrade it to 5.10 in order to be able to use 'Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant' to move everything to Confluence Cloud (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1219672/cloud-migration-assistant-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview).
The problem is that in my 'License Details' information says: 'Confluence support and updates for this license ended on May 26, 2021. Confluence updates created after May 26, 2021 are not valid for this license.'
I know that in this case, after upgrade, we will be able to use Confluence only if we renew the license.
Is there a way to update from 5.8.5 version to 5.10 without renewing the license, maybe a trial version and renew the license after migrating to cloud?
Hi @Daniel Canur ,
actually, you can upgrade to a newer version if it was release BEFORE your current license expired : in your case, Confluence 5.10 was release in 2017 so you should be OK !
If by any chance this doesn't work, you can always use a temporary trial license for your migration, there won't be any limitations as long as it's not used for production use.
Let me know if this helps,
--Alexis
