There is a staggering amount of information out there and I don't know which direction I should take.

Our daily morning meetings go a little like this:

  • A team of about 12 members all walk into the meeting.
  • We write out on a whiteboard our tasks for the day and their priority, this very often doesn't have a JIRA issue ticket and can include things like "helping so and so do XYZ"
  • The team prefers this method of organizing tasks, and it does not make sense to get IT to create a project and issue tickets for our meetings

I do not have admin access to JIRA, but I would really like a way for us to remotely push our task list each morning. Our current whiteboard looks like this:

I would like a system that allows:

  • Each employee to have an equally sized and spaced slot on the board
  • Employee "pushable" task lists

I'm not necessarily asking for someone to design me a wallboard, but I need a direction to head. ALl of the terminology between issues, and kanbans, and boards, and whatnot make it difficult to choose a method.

Ideally this task list would be displayed on a wall-sized television and update continuously

and if not JIRA/Agile/Atlassian then is there a software or product that does this?

Hey Quinn! Welcome :)

The way I would do this is to create a new dashboard view that utilizes the 'filter results' gadget.

Create a filter for each team member and choose the fields needed.

In this way, you can create your own dashboard that shows what each person is working on in an easily-shared format.

I'm looking for additional resources for non-JIRA tasks as well :)

Another idea may be to use Trello as your wallboard software.

Each person could have a column of 'cards' that they can push to your team board with their top 3.

You could enable static cards to display due dates for items, and the best part is that basic accounts are free.

*you can link these to JIRA tickets with the correct powerups

I also think Trello is a good solution for this! :-)
