Inherit issue security level from epic to children

Hi all,

we already use Issue Security Levels. But unfortunately, I do not see any possibility to inherit the issue security which is set to an Epic to its children.

It seems all manual work to set the scheme to the tasks.

Is there any way to secure the Epic WITH ALL its children?

Thanks and best, Anna

Hi @Anna Hummel ,

I think by default it does not inherit the parent issue security level. But you can have an automation that can copy the parent issue level security.

Thank you @Mayur Jadhav ! In February we will get the full Automation possibilities thanks to DC and I will implement this. Thanks a lot!

I also suggest using this structure. The only thing to be aware of it for issues that have children in other projects. You should check it those other projects have the same issues security scheme, so it can edit the children and not throw errors.

Hi @brian_g thanks for this helpful tip!

I've created this automation, but when I change an epic's security level, its children's security level remain unchanged. The audit log shows "success" although it doesn't work as expected. Any idea why?
