I am trying to get linking to work between Confluence and Jira.
We just upgraded to Jira 5.0 in order to pick up the remote issue linking feature described here:
http://blogs.atlassian.com/2012/02/link-jira-issues-to-confluence-pages-automatically/
However when I try to add a link in the ways described in the video I am not having any success.
First problem is the copy/paste example shown in the video does not work for me. When I copy and paste a Jira URL into confluence, it is not converting it into a Jira Issue Macro, but rather just keeps it as the link text.
Next, when I try to insert the Jira URL via the Macro: Insert Macro -> Jira Issues I am seeing an error.
(see attached image)
I'm hoping someone can help me with this or tell me if this is a known issue.
OK...I see what the problem was. The URL in setting up the remote issue links was incorrect. I was originally referencing an unsecure URL (http://) Seems now the URL is secure (https://)
Perhaps this was a part of the 5.0.1 upgrade that our team performed. But just thought I post it here for anyone else who might come across this problem.
