Show first X rows in a confluence page that pulls content from Jira

Michelle Gloss October 30, 2018

I have a change log that I create in Confluence that displays the issues in "done" status ordered by the date they were moved to done. The problem is that the first 1000 rows are loaded by default, which causes poor performance. I'd like to show only the first 100 rows by default and then have the user page over for older issues.

Hello Michelle and welcome to the Community!

I believe you are using the Jira Issue Macro to display your “done” issues from Jira within Confluence. With that said, the default will display 1000 items. Within your Jira Issue Macro, you will need to set the Maximum Issues from blank or 1000 to 100. This will allow you to only display 100 item upon load. If your users wanted to see all available, they can click on the “Showing 100 out of 5345 Issues” link which will take them to your Jira instance and display all issues.

If you want to customize the display, choose Display options and adjust the columns and number of issues that will appear in your table of issues.

Here is the documentation for the Jira Issues Macro

I hope you find the helpful and once applied reduces your performance and load time issues.
