Unable to create jira issue from confluence

Normally when i select some text to the right the Jira icon appears to enable me to create a jira issue directly from the confluence page.  This has dissappered, what can cause this to dissappear.

Check the Application link between JIRA and Confluence is working correctly.

Also try changing the configuration of the Application links for both applications to using OAuth (impersonation)
