Unable to delete old Space. Knowledgebase is reference a DELETE option that I do not see

I need to remove old Space.  Following Knowledgebase article I went to the Space | Space Tools.  It is supposed to present me with a Delete option but the only option I see is "Space Details".  It lists my ID as the Administrator but also says it is an Unknown User.  Any ideas?

Do you have all permission for this particular space? Have you switched the user directory of Confluence?
