Undesired e-mail notifications for some users

In the cloud instance I am using, one user is complaining about being notified by e-mail for every single page edit.

We checked and double checked settings and we have e-mail notifications enabled for:

• Recommended updates
• New followers

We do not want to turn these of, but want to stop the "Spam" caused by any page edit.

I (system adminstrator) have the same settings and it is working as intended. What could be the issue?

Page edits are sent if you are watching a page or a space containing that page.

Can you please double check the "Watches" tab under the user's profile / settings 

 

Moreover, at the bottom of the email , you should find a link to "Stop watching" the page or the space. 

Hopefully this helps alleviate the spam :)

Indeed the user was watching all activity for one space. It is unclear how that was activated relatively from the beginning.

Hope that solves it.
