Hi,
We have two different domains to our JIRA and we have an application link between Confluence and JIRA.
We need to change the URL in that Application Link and use the other JIRA domain. What will happen to all the already existing links to JIRA issues used with the JIRA Issue macro? Will they re-direct and work since it's still the same JIRA?
NOTE: JIRA Issue macro, not JIRA Issues macro.
Best regards
Christoffer
hey.
i think application links are generating sth like a key wich will cause a failure if you change the URLS from any of the linked applications.
see this KB:
you may need to re-create the links to make everything work as usual again
have look at this:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Editing+an+Application+Link
Update the application details as desired. Please note, you cannot update the Application Type nor the Application URL
Thanks for your input!
I also found out there are some bugs regarding changing the name of the application link which is good to be aware of:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-25329
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-27999
But I also found out it's easy to search in Confluence for pages were a specific macro is being used. Like:
macroName: jiraissue*
I found out there were not to many pages using the macro, so I think I'll be safe to manually update them afterwards.
Thanks.
