SSO: How disable default notification for users

Dear Atlassian Team

We use confluence with the Plugin "SAML Single Sign On (SSO) for Confluence: Evaluation". All works fine. But know all Users receives per default a big amount of notification emails, if a new page was created, modified or deleted.

How we can configure, that all users in the group "confluence-users" not receive any notification mails per default?

Each user may modify the emails settings in their profile to limit the notifications they receive. 

Confluence does not have a mechanism to control email based on group.

If you don't need email at all, you may disable the SMTP server.
