Unable to integrate Confluence with Jira ( User management server)

Hi,

I am in the middle on integrating our upgraded confluence ( from v5.6.3. to v 6.3.4) with Jira.

I have already created a Jira user server in JIRA where I defined confluence application name, password and confluence server ip address.

Now on Confluence side when I try to configure Atlassian Crowd Server ( Creating a new one) I get the following error: 

I see the same error in log file also :

Hi Leena,

To connect two Java applications over secure sockets (SSL) the "trust store" (usually $JAVA_HOME/lib/security/cacerts) for each application has to contain the SSL certificate from the other application. Please see Unable to Connect to SSL Services due to PKIX Path Building Failed

The resolution in this article that uses Portecle is my preferred method of importing certs: Connecting to SSL services

Actually this is the error that I received: even though its same but you will see different Url and jira server name :
