Unable to see External Gadgets Menu

Hi,

I'm unable to find the External Gadgets menu item in General Configurations on my Confluence instance. I'm logged in as a system-admin as you can see but I still don't see the item. Can someone help me understand why, point me to a better source, or point me to a tool I can debug this with?

Hello there!

Ibraheim, there is a possibility that the plugin for gadgets is disabled in your instance. You can verify that here:

1. Click Click the Cog Icon  > Manage apps / addons
2. Select to search for All Apps
   
3. Search for Gadgets
4. Check if the Gadgets Plugin is enabled

Further, could you provide us a little more information on this?

1. Were you able to access this at some point in the past?
2. When did you first notice this issue?
3. Was there any kind of change applied to your instance?

That did the trick! I'm not sure how it was disabled (maybe a previous admin), but all I had to do was enable it.
