We wanted to ad the Confluence Source Editor. But in the description it says that add-on is unsupported. What does this mean? Are there any risks?
Hi @Mattias Van doninck,
When an add-on is marked as unsupported, this means that there is no support offered for the plugin. It was usually a project of an engineer seeking to resolve an issue, but it is not guaranteed to remain working across future versions of the product as it was not placed into the product as a supported feature.
In terms of the Confluence Source Editor, I recommend installing the add-on in a test or development environment first, and then verify that it will work within your deployment. Many of our clients use this add-on, but there is no official support for the add-on itself.
Sincerely,
Chuck
