We currently have Confluence Server implemented and are looking at the Confluence Cloud option. If using the Confluence Cloud we would want to enforce 2FA when connecting from outside of our corporate network. Is it possible to use IP Whitelisting to bypass 2FA when connecting from certain IP addresses?
Thanks.
Hi @aflanagan !
I wanted to give you an update on your request above. We've recently launched a beta program for IP allowlisting that's available for Confluence, Jira Software, and Jira Service Desk Cloud Premium customers and evaluators. If you're still interested, you can learn more about the feature and how to enable it by visiting our documentation for IP allowlisting here.
Please reach out if you have questions!
I don't believe so. But I can tell you, the way 2FA works with Confluence is that you only need to authenticate when logging in (again) on a new device. We use 2FA and after using the app to authenticate my login on my laptop I haven't had to do so afterwards. In that way it does not add a lot of extra effort, but still prevents unauthorised log-ins if credentials fall into the wrong hands.
