Where can I find the Confluence roadmap?

Tim Ruijters April 13, 2015

As a (happy) customer of Confluence I would like to know what the Atlassian team is thinking about. Maybe I can also share my experience.

Tim, we don't really disclose our roadmaps publicly. I did, however give a recent talk where we tried to give people a heads up of where we're focusing.

Here is our current high-level thinking (slide from the presentation):

Would love to hear you feedback on any of this and what you would like to see and why.

As always this "rough" roadmap is likely (and probably will) change, but it gives you at least a rough idea of where we are headed.

Thanks for all your support.

A few people have asked me to elaborate on some of these things. Some quick notes: * Table improvements - looking at things like following/stalking table headers, cut/paste table columns, auto-row numbering etc... * File presentation mode - speaks for itself I think (full screen page views for slides/image galleries etc...) * Inline comments improvements - email notifications, dealing with long comment threads etc... * Performance - we're mostly focused on viewpage performance trying to make that load faster * Native Mobile - We've started exploring a native mobile app for Confluence * Dashboard - We're looking at revamping the dashboard to be more focused on getting to your work, qicker * Editing experience - This ranges from editor reliability to simplifying sharing and permissions, to realtime editing and lots of things around that area. If you're keen to give feedback on any of these topics feel free to shoot me an email.

Hi Sherif, thanks for this info. I think Atlassian could benefit from the experience of the Confluence community if information like this is shared. I also have a question regarding structured information. Does Atlassian have any plans to capture structured information? For example I want to share a list of customers and I would like to add a button that shows all orders of that customer.

Hi Tim,

I am not sure if we have a public documentation about this, but I believe you can take a look at our Atlassian Blogs to find out more about new features in any of our products.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Clarissa.
