Why do Confluence users get error when accessing restricted page?

Hi,

I have done 2 tests on a restricted page and got 2 different outcomes.

1) As anonymous user, when I click on the link of restricted page, the log-in page will display.

2) As Confluence user, after logging, I click on the same link of the restricted page, I get the error page.

Can anyone please give me a hint of how to setup the system, so that the won't get the error page when users click on a link of restricted page.

If it's a Java error then this is a bug that needs to be reported.

If it's an "access denied" page then that's expected behaviour and can't be changed.

Is it one of those two, or is it a different type of error page?
