Write CQL using a variable list option selected

I created a template that has a list variable "site" with several options.

I want to create an automation that adds pages based on the "site" option selected. For instance, if "CDM" is selected for the site, I want two template pages to be created under the trigger page.

How to I write the condition in the automation to utilize this automation?

first of all and tbh: I´m not that familiar with templates and the confluence automation but I would be happy to try to help wherever I can.

If I understand that correctly that "site" is an option that could be changed at any time. right? so what would be the exact trigger? whenever this field gets changed or should the rule only fire when a page is created of that template?

Furthermore could you show a screenshot of your template/page? 

And: Could you also show how far you´ve come so far so we can better understand where your rule is and where you got stuck.
