Henricus Fluthgraf July 3, 2019

Hello together,

i am using Confluence server version (6.14.1).

The Universal Plugin Manger was installed in the Version 3.0.2. Because of different problems with the marketplace, no connection via appsite, i tried to update to UPM 4.0.4.

After this, in the admin Area, App Administration, there is nothing,Ony the site search is availabe.

I tried to reinstall a backup, but nothing changes. The same behaviour as before,

So i cannot install a app via upload, all installed apps seems to bee lost.

Need help

Henry

PS: the database is on a other server, but i cannot get the backup befrore next week.

Hello Henricus,

From what you’ve described and the steps you’ve explained, your best option is what you’re already pursuing (restore from backups). It seems that when you installed the UPM 4.0.4 manually within Confluence it caused an issue resulting in what you’re seeing now.

There is an article to review and follow when restoring your site which should help to remove any cache during the process. This process may be found at Restoring a Site.

While this is a bit after the fact, we do suggest you test any updates within a staging instance to avoid interruptions to production. More information on how to set up a staging instance may be found at Create a staging environment for upgrading Confluence.

I hope this information proves helpful and you’re able to get your Confluence instance back online.

Regards,
Stephen Sifers
