double and triple e-mail notifications

Hello,

since we updated to confluence version 5.1.3 some users are receiving double and triple e-mail notifications for changes and comments in pages.

Is there a way to change this behaviour?

Hello,
It may or not be related but I have seen this behavior when an incompatible version of the descendant notifcations plugin is installed.

If this plugin is installed it could be the culprit and I would advise disabling it as there is no compatible version for the 5 series as of yet.

Hi Fernando.

You can check the page watchers and double check if the users which are receiving double emails are duplicated there. If they are not duplicated, you can give a try and remove the user from watching a page and confirm if the duplicated emails for that page persists.

I think this should be some cache problem.
