workbox notification for publishing page or blog post

Hi there

We are currently using Confluence 5.9 and I saw in the documentation following:

"The workbox does not show notifications triggered because you are watching a space. Only watches on pages and blog posts are relevant here."

We'd like to have these workbox (in-app) notification if somebody publishes a page or blog post in a space we are watching. Is there a way to realize that? 

The current situation doesn't make sense in my opinion. Email notification is sent, but workbox notification is missing. If this makes sense - pls help me to understand.

Maybe also using Confluence Mobile apps could be an alternative for using push notifications
