On the 501st execution of a global rule if you have Jira Standard what happens? Are you charged an overage fee or does the execution fail silently or does it email the rule owner that the execution has failed?
Solved! Go to Solution.
„If you exceed the limit, the rules won't get executed anymore. This can lead to all sorts of problems depending on how dependant you made your processes in Jira on these automations. So choose your rules wisely and try to prevent creating global automation rules or subscribe to a premium subscription.“
Recommendation:
First:
Start to find a solutions with the possibilities at workflow schemes. You can manage several cases from there.
Second:
Introduce Jira Automation in your organisation by teaching them all possibilities in a regular way.
Third:
Define global rules with the most impact to many users.
Consider, when people find out the power of Jira Automation, the inquiry for global rules will be increased and the pressure for premium licenses is there. This is why, I‘m currently struggling with the communication about these possibilities :D
Okay thanks
