Hello, I have a question about the “Create Idea Form”:
Is there a way to create multiple fields with continous text for the description? The background to this is as follows: We want to describe our ideas using the following 3 categories:
- Issue
- Motivation & objectives
- Alternatives
Writing everything in one field makes it a bit confusing.
But I have not yet found a way to adapt the form accordingly. The only possibility is to add fields in the selected view for the template, but as field type there is only "short text", no option for continous text.
Can anyone help here? Thanks in advance!
Hi @Katrin Erhardt ,
Yeah—currently there's no way to add custom paragraph fields to the intake form.
Fyi, I'm going to move this to JPD app group.
@Hermance NDounga are there any plans to add paragraph fields in the future (or is there a workaround for these kinds of requirements?
Cheers,
Tobi
@Hermance NDounga big plus one for this request to support the Paragraph field type in JPD.
We want to create an additional field similar to @Katrin Erhardt where we have the release notes upon delivery of an idea which can be separate from the main description. 255 characters of plain text is just too limiting for this use.
Our additional motivation for a separate field is automation to extract the release notes from delivered ideas and consolidate in a periodic communication to our clients.
Best regards,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,
It might be worth taking a look at Released for the release notes use-case. It makes it easy to consolidate delivered ideas and generate release notes based on the descriptions.
Cheers,
Jens
