I was not able to add some of the customers. The error message is: This customer is inactive. You need to activate their account.
I am confused because they should not need to have a Jira Service Desk account.
This means what it says. The account is inactive, due to being deactivated (or never used after being invited - the customer has never logged in). You'll need them to activate it, or for an admin to remove the "disabled" flag in user management.
Get them to try to log in, then follow the "you have an inactive account" link if they can't just log back in.
