My Jira Service Desk Version: 4.9.0
Just as my title states, is there a possible way to solve this without using add-ons?
If add-ons are deemed necessary, can anyone list out both free and paid options?

This can be done by revising the workflow with a post function using a script.
An automation rule could also be utilized inside that project.https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/features/automation
