Completed with Action?

Hi there, New to Jira SD.  In the process of setting up replicating an old service desk system.

One of the things we require is when Completing a Service Request, we list with:

  • "No Further action required"
  • "Further Action Request raised" and the Action Request #
  • "Non-conformance request raised" and the Non-Conformance Request #

What's the best way to handle this in Jira SD?

Thank you for reaching out.

Per your description, I understand you would like to add a select list field to the resolution screen of your issues that will list the three pre-determined options you mentioned. Is that correct?

It's quite easy to create a select list field with the pre-determined options you need and add it to the final screen or your workflow. These would be the steps:

  1. Follow the documentation below to create the select list (Single choice) custom field as you need:
    Create a custom field 
  2. Navigate to your project > Project settings > Workflow > Edit
  3. On Diagram mode, click in the final transition of your workflow, Identifying the screen added to it. If it does not have any screens, follow the steps of the documentation below to create/add a screen to the transition:

  4. Then, add the custom field to the screen you mapped in the final transition:

  5. If you want to make that field required, follow the steps of the documentation below:

That being said, I noticed that you want to add the reference to the new request if the user resolving the issue selects the option "Further Action Request raised" or "Non-conformance request raised". This information can not be added to the pre-determined list of fields automatically, so I believe you will need to use another text type custom field to add this extra information.
