Hi
Is it possible to Create New Issue in Service desk but with the Project and Request Type set to default values? I have several projects available but spend most of the time in one. If I create a new ticket in a different project then this setting is remembered for other users who creates subsequent tickets. Is there a way to switch off this feature?
I assume you are referring to creating an issue w/in the application and not via portal/email since portal/email require specifying the project and request type.
AFAIK, there is no way to disable the 'remember last project' feature associated w/ the Create function. You could look at creating issues thru an API thereby controlling the project/issuetype by default. But this seems excessive to me. It might be that an addon app, e.g. Scriptrunner or Power Scripts could fulfill your goal but as I don't use I cannot say for sure. Maybe others will chime in here.
Hi Jack.
Thanks for the reply.
You are correct. It is for creating new issues within the application rather than the customer portal or incoming emails.
You are also correct in that it does look excessive for a workaround for to disable to dropdown lists.
