I'm a new user to the Jira Service desk project. I want to create some new queues and reports.
How to create a report which shows a list of all the Components and the number each Components have been linked to a case in Jira Service desk?

The answer was great. I got the result as I wanted by using the gadget in the proposal.

If you just want to have a count of issues then try using a pie chart gadget based on component field. You can also use Two Dimensional Filter Statistics or Issue Statistics.
