How can I add a field to add an epic in the Slack "Help Center" bot integration?

When "creating an issue" from a Slack message, I am only given the option to add a "Jira project" and specify if it's a bug, task, etc. but I want to be able to add to a specific epic. Is this possible?

Hi Lauren, welcome to the Community!

Currently the fields written to the issue from Slack are limited to those you see when creating the issue - additional fields like Epic aren't yet available. We do have an open feature request to track this however; you can watch and vote on it here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/API-157

Outside the official Jira Cloud for Slack integration provided by Atlassian, there are a number of third-party Slack to Jira apps that provide this particular feature. You can have a look on the Atlassian Marketplace to see if these other connectors meet your needs. Using a third-party app would get you the ability to customize the fields from Slack today.
