I am trying to connect our company support email to the Jira Support desk. Our pop/imap is through office365. Everytime that I try to use POP, it errors out because of too many reads in a 15 minute period, and every time I try to use IMAP it comes back "Read Timed Out". Anyone have any suggestions?

Just to make sure that we are on the same page, I would like to clarify if you are trying to connect directly in the Service Desk project on Email requests or on Jira settings > System > Incoming email.
I saw that you created a ticket with our support related to the email as well, please let us know if this issue here was resolved, and if so, feel free to share the resolution with us to help other community members that may face the same issue.

Yes, I opened a ticket with support. It turns out that there is a bug in the system. The details about that bug can be found here:

So the answer to your question is yes and no. Yes, I was able to adjust one of my email addresses and get everything up and running. No, it appears as though the bug is not yet completed, but it is a known issue.
