How can I set the security of the project to other agents?

Julie_Ann March 2, 2020

I need to create 3 Service Desk (different projects) but all agents can see all the projects.

How can I set the security of the project to other agents?

Hello Julie,

I hope you are having a good day.

Please correct me in case I've misunderstood your question, but it seems that you would like to restrict the agent's access just to some specific projects, correct?

If my assumption is correct, you can set the agent permission per project by adding and removing agents on each project.

You can check both documentation below that will provide you step by step how to do it:

That being said, please, give a try and let me know if it helps.

Cheers,

Carlos

Hi Julie,

I don't fully understand your question, but if you are asking how you can setup all 3 service desks to be available for all your agents, then I suggest setting up 1 permission scheme to be used by all 3 service desks.

You can then setup granular permissions via project roles.

You can read more on project permission schemes here - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/managing-project-permissions-938847145.html

And you can read more on project roles specific to Service Desk here - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/customizing-jira-service-desk-permissions-938847162.html
