Hi,
We're using JIRA SD (On Cloud) (free version) and JIRA Software (On Premise). We'd like to integrate them and link tickets created in JIRA Software to JIRA SD or vice versa.
We managed to configure the integration between two systems, it's not a problem. The issue is we can link an issue, it seems JIRA SD does not see the tickets in JIRA Software. We read almost everything on the internet. I'm a bit skeptical if it's caused by they stand on different instances (on of them is on Cloud other one is on Premise).
Do you have any thought or suggestions?
Didem,
You can look into sync apps like Elements Copy&Sync, Backbone, Exalate or issue sync: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=jira&query=sync
They have capabilities to sync issue data between 2 different instances.

Laurens
Hello Laurens, Does Atlassian not provide this functionality out of the box? As I would like to sync a Jira SD project (DC) with a Jira Software project (DC) within the same instance? Kind regards, Brittany

Within the same instance, the most logic thing to do is to just create an issue link and make sure that the user has read access on both.
You can always do some magic with post functions or automations to copy over field data.
But if you really want to keep things in sync, even in the same instance, apps like copy&sync are very useful.

Laurens
