When we moved our JIRA Service Desk portal to the new design, the Field Help on a request type on the portal went under the fields as expected but it also shortened the length across to 21 characters. This makes for a very choppy display. We have another JIRA Service Desk instance with the new design that does not have that problem so there seems to be something here we can adjust. Can you please advise me on how we do that?

although I am unsure if the following article specifically applies please kindly double check if on the second instance you mentioned a setting like this was made.
I remember that there was some years ago a different (additional) place to make the changes to but at the moment I cannot remember where this exactly was.
Double checking the announcement banner should be a valid action to take first.
