I have one user that has multiple profiles that populate when I run a search query how do I clean up these profiles and remove all the faulty ones? I only want to see 1 profile appear in my search when I enter the name. I have gone into user management and removed all the duplicated accounts, and I have gone into my project settings and made sure that only the correct user profile is active.
So first run a query for assignee and reporter of each remembering the order (123). Move all issues assigned to the two unwanted to the one that is to remain. Do the same for any reporter and watched issues. Assuming you are a sys admin go to settings > users find and delete the unwanted two users. If you get any error let me know what it says. It may be some further cleanup is required.
Thank you Jack I was just looking for the unwanted profiles in the wrong section. I went to user management> users and was only seeing the one account but then I looked further down "Jira service desk" and was able to fish out the unwanted profiles. Appreciate your help! Do you have any tips or advice on how to advance my knowledge with Jira configurations ? I have a good grip on front end support but can use help and advance my knowledge when it comes to back end configuration.
