I've followed the "webhook" instructions at the top of this page to connect PagerDuty with JIRA: https://www.pagerduty.com/docs/guides/jira-webhook-email-integration-guide/
It works great in that when a customer on our JSD portal submits a request, PagerDuty is notified.
A side effect I don't want is that when one of my colleagues creates a new JIRA ticket, PagerDuty is also notified. Is there a way to filter out which tickets notify PagerDuty and which do not?

Did you try to open in a different issue type (like Task) than edit the type, by doing that you will bypass the create post function.
I assume you put the webhook call in the create post function?
