Is it possible to prevent portal access to people, who are not part of our company?

Background:
The Benefit of Jira Service Desk (JSD) is that people can create issues via a customer portal without having an account in JSD.

 

Question:

How will access to the portal be prvented to those, who are not part of company?

Is it possible to allow certain ip-ranges only?

Hi @e.bremer 

Absolutely. 

From Project Settings do the following? 

  1. Customer Permissions - Under the heading - Who can access the portal and send to XXXXX Service Desk? - Select option 2 radio button - Anyone with an account on your Atlassian domain. I am assuming a customer wouldn't have access to your Atlasssian domain.

thank you for the quik response, but that means, this person need an account, right?

For example if i choose option, thers no option prevent access to the portal bei IP-ranges, right?!

Hi @e.bremer 

Only paid users (internal) who have access to your atlassian domain will have access to the Portal. 

The other option "Customers my team adds to the project" means your agents will have to physically invite them by adding their email addresses to the Organisation under Customers. 

You could leave it on that option as well, and simply not invite your customers to the portal.

Sorry for the delay in response, I've been on holiday. 

No, you do not pay for customers invited by agents. Customers are free to use your portal.
