Issue type layout for Jira Service Desk

Hi all,

I'd like to make primary and mandatory fields for different issue type.

For example, for Promo Issues Type - there are one set of primary and mandatory fields, and for Development Issues Type - there are an other one set of primary and mandatory fields.

If the issue created from JSD interface - there are all mandatory fields there.

But if the same type of issue created dirrectly from inside the Project (by pressing "+" to create new issue) - any one can chose any of fields as mandatory and not.

 

As a solution, I find Issue layout configuration in a separate Projects in Jira.

But how to do the same for JSD issues?

I'm logged in as admin, and there is no such feature in JSD Options, only in separate Projects.

Hello Oleksandr,

Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
When you set the field as required directly on Request type > Edit fields the fields will be required only for customers in the customer portal.
To make fields required also for agents you must go to Project settings > Fields > Click on  Screenshot 2019-01-31_10-36-47.png> Find the desired field > Click on "Required".

Note that this will make the field to be required for all issue types in this project.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately i need a separate required fields for each type of issue, not for all :(
