I created automation for issues when created. If I create an issue manually the automation is triggered. If I create it through the Customer portal it does not trigger automation. Our issues created through the Customer portal different than issues graded manually.

Can you provide the details of the automation you created?
Are you using the Automation for JIRA functionality, or the Automation functionality built into Service Desk?
