Atlassian Community: We need help to fix this error message - we are seeing this appear in the jirasoftware stdout log file.

JIRA default from address [c.a.mail.incoming.mailfetcherservice] JIRA default from address[10200]: Could not find a corresponding issue to comment and 'Create a new issue from each email' is not selected. TONS of that in the log file, makes it harder to review for other possible issues

Hi @Jason Michaud,

This looks as if Jira is trying to find an issue to add the email as comment, but there is no issue that fits.

You should try to find out what emails are causing this error. Jira is looking for the subject and inside the email header for references to Jira issues.

If you are receiving emails from other Jira systems, this may cause this error. 

What Strategy do you have configured to process the emails?
