According to this page https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskserver0315/managing-service-desk-notifications-957506167.html " Approvers receive service desk notifications when a request transitions to a stage where their approval is needed. They must opt in to notifications to see other activity on the request. "
Now that's a major PITA because an Approver might want more info about a change, request that info, and then never see that the original requestor has supplied that info, because they've not had the notification.
Options are to "watch" the ticket I guess but that's a bit... half-baked?
Does anyone have any workarounds where Approvers DO get to see "other activity on the request" by default (and automatically)? I don't want people who only infrequently become involved in approving stuff, having to remember a bunch of rules. LIkewise I don't want the requestor adding the approver as a watcher, or referencing them with a call-out.
I've resolved this one myself.
Job done.
