Jira logging

Hi, Does anyone know where the log files are for Jira ie, New user accounts created, a config change anything where it logs jira's backend changes anything like that would be a great help.

There is an audit log in Admin -> Audit, but you have to enable it before it starts capturing admin activity like that.

Would it capture activity like enabling creating a new user account in the portal?
